The worst GW Expierence..
Hi before the holiday season I was able to play GuildWars fine. Now all of suddenly I get disconnected from servers 3-6x daily depending on how many hours I play. My internet works fine otherwise, browsing and watching youtube videos no problem.
Then when it comes to GuildWars I constantly getting kicked. I tried switching districts, servers, and anything else you could think off. It happens mainly in the American districts for me. There was even a time whenever I tried to salvage something I was disconnected. It didn't stop until I zoned... Can someone tell me why this is happening to me? Or is it happening to others too?

Others have reported disconnections it seemed to be happening in Europe while America seemed ok, I wasn't playing so cannot confirm this.

I'm in Canada and it's happening to me as well. Massive lag spikes while in towns and outposts up to 25K and just after logging into the game. Framerate stays at a constant 60fps the whole time. I can also play other online games without incident.

As usual with this kind of thread, we don't have enough information to determine where the problem is.
For a general "I have a connectivity problem in GW" issue, the problem could be located (1) at your computer, (2) at the GW server, or (3) at any one of a dozen or more intermediate nodes in the path between them across the internet.
If it's true when you say, "But I can play WoW/watch youtube/download pr0n just fine," that is not enough to conclude that the problem is with the GW server. It only rules out your computer, and it rules out intermediate nodes where the path to GW overlaps with the path to WoW/youtube/pr0n.*
(* Also note that GW requires very low packet-loss and consistently fast delivery of small amounts of data. Something like youtube or downloading files isn't nearly as sensitive to problems in those areas. So it's possible to have a connection through a node that has noticeable problems for GW but not for other activities. Other real-time online games like WoW provide a better basis of comparison.)
The bottom line is that your problem is probably caused by an intermediate node. That's almost always the case. Neither you nor a-net is in a position to do anything about it.
If you want to try to track down the problem, use tracert and pathping. On the off chance the problem is with the GW server, that data would be helpful to a-net in getting it fixed. More likely, it will be helpful to you in understanding why you're blaming the wrong party.

I don't know what a Tracert or pathping is.. If you could describe it to me I'll look into it. I just DC'd for the 5th time in the last 25mins while salvaging a bunch of Phantom Residues...

tracert: link
pathping: link
Everything in these links is still valid, as these commands have not changed since win xp.

If you're salvaging too fast, you may be disconnected at the last item. This has always been the case, and it has nothing to do with the servers or your connection. To avoid this, if you have for example 15 items, salvage as fast as you want the first 14, then wait 2-3 sec before salvaging the last one.
